Our connection to South America spans the entire continent, from the northern coastlines to the windswept southern tip. Having traveled to every single country in South America, as well as its remote offshore outposts—including the Galápagos, Easter Island, the Falkland Islands, Antarctica, and the islands of Brazil—we have experienced the vast ecological and cultural diversity of this landmass firsthand.

Rather than staying on the standard tourist loop, our journeys have taken us deep into the continent’s most challenging and raw environments. We stayed in a remote Amazonian ecolodge in 2009, navigated the high-altitude starkness of San Pedro de Atacama, and spent time in places that truly captured our hearts, like the historic city of Cuenca in Ecuador and the mountain outpost of El Chaltén in Argentina.

For me, the connection to Patagonia is intensely physical. I have twice competed in the region’s legendary ten-day, non-stop adventure race—widely regarded as the most grueling in the world—gaining an intimate, firsthand understanding of its wildest, most punishing terrain. Our guides bypass generic travel brochures to share the practical, highly detailed, and hard-won insights we’ve gathered across decades of deep South American exploration.
